If you’re looking for new adventures, take a road trip in Southern Oklahoma on September 30, 2017.  The ‘stars’ are aligning to make this the best road trip you can take on a Saturday!  Doesn’t matter what you drive… car, pick-up truck, motorcycle, van, RV — get fueled up and take the road to Tishomingo for a great day of fun!  You’ll find something every member of the family will enjoy, including Country Music Star, Blake Shelton and a few of his musically talented friends at an Opry Style Concert starting at 7pm on Tishomingo, Oklahoma’s Main Street!

First Stop:  Classic Cars, Festival & Marching Band Championships!
To make the most of the day, take the road to Tishomingo that runs through Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and enjoy the 22nd Annual Pauls Valley Police Classic Car Show and Festival.  According to their FB site:  “There are usually about 100 entries and this year’s car show will take place along Paul Street in downtown Pauls Valley. The annual Pauls Valley Brickfest will be taking place in the same general area throughout the day. The annual Marching Band Championships will also be held mid-day with numerous school marching bands parading through the show! There will be fun and entertainment for everyone, especially the car enthusiasts!”

Second Stop:  Winery Anniversary Bash, 5k Well Bee Classic & Health Fair!
Sulphur, Oklahoma is where you can ‘Rock Out with Your Cork Out‘ at the Rusty Nail Winery’s 7th Anniversary Bash from Noon to 8:00 pm.  No admission, family friendly, free music, door prizes and birthday cake!  I hear it’s where the ‘cool kids’ hang out!  –At least the ones of wine drinking age!

The Sulphur 5k Well Bee Classic and Health Fair is also happening on Saturday.  Go on by the Health Fair and make sure you’re healthy enough to take the road to Tishomingo, Oklahoma!  Be there by 7pm for the Grand Opening of Blake Shelton’s Ole Red Entertainment Venue and Restaurant.  ‘Gates’ open at 5pm so you might want to get there early and claim your spot with lawn chairs!

Third Stop:  Blake Shelton’s Grand Opening of Ole Reds in Tishomingo!
It’s a block party so take the road to Tishomingo for some good old fashioned family fun!  — I’m not sure who is prouder of Ole Red’s opening for business, Blake or the folks of Johnston County!  We can’t wait to show off all our area has to offer visitors and locals, like great places to eat and shop and some unique places to stay like Cedar and Stone Bed and Breakfast.  In case you can’t find a place to stay in Johnston County, check out one of my favorites in neighboring Murray County, River Bend Vacation Rentals, where you’ll find several log homes, tree house, lake house, country house and a B&B Villa.

Take the road to Tishomingo and enjoy the day on September 30, 2017!  If you decide you might want to live in our area, check out:  www.heykarenhelpmebuyandsellrealestate.  There are some great business opportunities in the area, too!
