If you’re looking for a great place to live, raise a family, shop, start a business, retire, hunt and fish, then you’ll want to look at land and homes for sale in the Durant area.  Unique places to shop include Durant, Caddo, Bokchito, Calera, Colbert and Mead, and if that’s not enough, Sherman, Texas is only 25 minutes south of Durant.  Take a drive down Main Street in Durant and you’ll find some unique shops like one of my new favorites, Foster Creativity.  It’s a unique boutique housing over 25 individual vendors. They hold a variety of DIY workshops and parties.  Get a group together or go alone and make new friends! You can grab a few friends or make it day date and visit the Blue River Valley Winery in Caddo.

For a unique family experience or date night, check out the historic theatre in downtown Caddo, Oklahoma.  It will transport you back in time as you watch newly released movies — best of both worlds!  Try their rootbeer floats — my personal favorite when watching movies.

Be sure and check out all that the Choctaw Casino and Resort south of Durant offers.  Most people think of slots and blackjack at the casino, but they are also home to The District , world class hotel, pool and water park and so much more!  For family fun, visit The District where you’ll find 20 bowling lanes, 3600 sq. ft. arcade, cinema and food court.  When you live in the Durant area and have relatives visiting, they’ll always be glad to stay at the resort — and that keeps the in-laws out of your home overnight! LOL  (I of course, love my in-laws and would want them staying with me.)
